Spunky sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw in the franchise — was photographed on the streets of Manhattan Tuesday, where she is shooting scenes for the sequel to last summer’s smash chick flick Sex and the City: The Movie.

Sex and the City 2 arrives in theaters May 28, 2010.

With still 4 months more to go before 2009 wraps up Billboard already knows who their Woman of the Year is! Billboard announced earlier that the RnB diva Beyoncé ((Bee-AHN’-say) will be accepting its Woman Of The Year Award at the 2009 Billboard Women In Music Event, taking place on Oct. 2 in New York City.

The honor, given to a female recording artist that has inspired the music business with her success, leadership and new ideas, will be awarded to the singer for her accomplishments over the past 12 months.

Beyonce is the only performer in the 51-year history of the Billboard Hot 100 to top the chart for 10 weeks or more with a group (Destiny’s Child) and as a solo artist.

Past “Woman of the Year” honorees were Ciara and Reba McEntire.

And it’s a back to back win for Venezuela! Miss Universe 2008, Dayana Mendoza passed her crown to fellow Venezuelan Beauty 19 year old Stefanía Fernández. This is the first time in the history of Miss Universe that a country wins the crown twice in a row…impressive for Venezuelan beauties.

On Sept. 14, the Grammy-winning hitmaker Whitney Houston will sit down with Oprah Winfrey as The Queen of Talk will kick off the 24th season of The Oprah Winfrey Show.

The legendary vocalist will discuss her life over the last decade, and her new album, I Look to You, in stores Sept. 1. Winfrey called Houston’s guesting “the most anticipated music interview of the decade.”

“I’m a lot wiser now, certainly a lot older. Things mean a lot more to me,” Whitney recently said of her new album. “I have a 16-year-old daughter, which makes a lot of changes in a woman’s life. I think the songs themselves will speak to you when you hear them. And you’ll understand where I am and the changes I’ve gone through for the better.”
